Comment on the results of the study “Self-Agreement/Spouse Agreement, Similarity, and Perceived Similarity in HEXACO Personality Factors”.
Highlights
- The researchers studied the degree of agreement between self-perception and spouse-perception, as well as the perceived similarity of personalities.
- The study involved 451 heterosexual couples from the Netherlands.
- It was confirmed that there was a high level of agreement between spouses in all HEXACO factors.
- Obtained: Actual and perceived similarity was high only for “Honesty-Modesty” and “Openness”.
Conclusions
The researchers found that long-term relationship couples are much more similar to each other in terms of “Honesty-Modesty” and “Openness”.
The study provides two possible markers that can help people predict whether their relationship will be long-lasting and stable.
My Comment
A long-term relationship, like any other energy, is a form.
A person can maintain a long-term relationship simply by using the divine formula for creating and preserving any form. Regardless of whether they have similarities or differences with their partner.
